The fuel pump (gear pump) provides fuel to the high pressure pump. By turning the star grip high pressure is produced through the camshaft. From the high pressure pump the fuel is pressed through the fuel line to the common-rail and thus reaches the injectors.
One injector has been sectioned. In this injector the magnet valve, the valve bodies, the push rod, the jet needle and the multi-hole nozzle can be identified. In the sectioned rail the pressure sensor and the rail pressure transducer can be identified.
