production process milling.
The general structure, axis directions and parameters of the milling machineare
described, along with the most commonly used types. The structure and cutting edge
geometry of milling cutters are described; the differences among various types of
milling cutters are explained by meansof cutting edge characteristics and application
examples. Tool and Workpiece Clamping, exercises in determing cutting parametersand
3D animations of the milling procedures clarify the milling process. Countermeasures
for the prevention of accidents and environmental damageare discussed and practiced.
